Microfiber is synthetic fiber, which is 1/100 of the diameter of a human hair and 1/20th the diameter of a strand of silk. The most common types of microfibers are made from polyester, polyamide 

 

Microfiber has changed the detailing industry, the shape, size, and combinations of synthetic fibers are selected for specific characteristics, including softness, toughness and absorption.

 

Most of the microfiber are made in China or Korea on the market nowadays. However the QC of these products are extermely different, there are some very bad towels on the market.
